Leah Makin, Born 1987. Currently living in North Yorkshire, England.
She has
being working within photography for six years and studied it for
two years
at Leeds College of Art on a foundation degree
course.
Leah comes
from an artistic background, her father, always a keen
art lover and my mother having a high interest in fashion and
photography. Even from primary school, art was her favourite subject right through to
finishing secondary school. She first found her passion for
photography at the age of sixteen whilst on an A level Art course at
Bishop Burton College, she thought if everyone is painting I'm going
to be different and take photos, from that point onwards she knew
photography was her way forward.
Whilst
studying at Leeds College of Art her love for portrait and fashion
photography became apparent whilst working on different projects and
themes whilst coming across some of her most inspirational
photographers such as Tim Walker, Eugine Recuenco and
Annie Leibovitz. Leah's work had then being featured in such
magazines as Digital SLR Photography, What Digital Camera, Metal
Hammer and photographymonthly.com
